TGIF

Yes, I am SO happy that it is Friday, I just had to post! :-)

Today was was of the most ordinary days that I have ever encountered in my natural-born life, but that does not mean that I don’t have to enjoy it because it is FRIDAY! Whoop whoop!

Also, I would like to apologize now for not posting in a REALLY, REALLY long time.

Sorry. :-)

I have been really busy with homework and things such as this.

GRADE UPDATES:

Math - we just got back another quiz, and no one (I repeat: NO ONE) got good grades, but I got an 18.5 out of 20! Go me! :-) We have another test next week that I will probably do well on because that class is easy-cheesy!

Geology - You all probably already know about this one but I got a C+ on my test. Not a “horrah” but I’m definately not crying either! :-) I did better than I expected, and with all the quizzes we have been taking I’m sure that it will boost my grade in the end!

English - Well this class sucks overall, but I got my grade back from my last unit (Unit One) and guess what I got? A straight C. Not even waivering in the slightest from a B to a C in ANY subject area. Just a straight “C”. Well, I worked REALLY hard on this past Unit (Unit Two) and I worked for a LONG time, so hopefully I will get a much better grade this next time. :-) I’m keeping my fingers crossed. . .

Information Technology - WOW that class is easy. I got a 40 out of 40 on a study guide sort of thing. It was so incredibly easy and I was so happy when I got that grade back. :-) We are also starting projects sometime this week and I’m with my friend from Colby Joenetta. You go girl! :-)

Labratory - Well, this class goes in conjuntion with my Geology class, and so therefore it also kind of sucks. We JUST had a test this past week over the different types of rocks and stuff; I didn’t find it that hard, but some of the questions were IMPOSSIBLE. I’m kind of afraid to get back that grade, but I have faith in myself and I hope that it won’t be too bad. :-)

FOI - Man I just LOVE this class, but my classmates are a little on the weird side. I swear I’m getting an A+ in that class; all of my papers have been 25 out of 25 so I’m pretty excited about that class grade. :-)

———————————————————-

Well, that pretty much wraps it up for my class grade update!

Hope you enjoyed it, and I’m out!

I Hate Fire Drills

The above statement is said for one reason, and for one reason only:

You aren’t expecting it.

It would be GREAT if they always had “Announced Fire Drills”, but no. Not like last time when I went to the library for those 3 hours in which the “Announced” fire drill was to take place. They (the administration, I mean) are forced to have at least a couple of fire drills at completely random times throughout the year.

I was sleeping, having a REALLY great night sleep, when I was woken with a start.

Why, you ask? Well, let me demonstrate:

AAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”

Not the most pleasant of sounds, and certainly when you were dreaming about something completely different and you wake up saying stupidly “Where’s the fire?” it’s not your brightest moment either.

At least, this was how it happened for me. :-)

So I quickly jump out of bed (Seeing as I have a loft I have to sort of CLIMB out of bed, actually), pull on a pair of slick pants (I’m wearing bed-shorts with a matching top) and go out into my dorm floor.

“What’s going on?”

“Are people hurt?”

“What the hell is that sound?!”

“MAKE IT STOP!”

This one girl, seeming slightly disarrayed by the noise level (Which I swear is increasing now that I’m becoming more awake) says to me: “What do we do now?”

I just stared at her and said,

“Now we go down the 16 flights of the stairs, because the elevators are shut off now.”

She looked at me as if to say “I have never in my LIFE had to take the stairs.”

Now more people were filtering into the hallway, obviously never having a fire drill in their life either.

“What do we do?”

“Let’s GO to the stairs!!!” I shout, and start jogging towards the stairs so that people will get the idea.

Freshman. Honestly… ;-)

Well, we made it outside alive and okay, but we were forced to STAY outside at 9:30 in the morning until two fire trucks came, checked everything out and signaled that it was okay to go back inside.

I hate fire drills.
