Today I gave my speech to the class, and let’s just say I was nothing short of SCARED TO DEATH!!!

Anyways, I was the only person to use the computer projector, and all of my classmates were sitting in wonder as I wheeled it in and got it all set up. I was really afraid because I guess you can say I was the ice-breaker for the “Using the Computer” part of speech which, technically, we were NOT supposed to use the computer for the first speech at all, just transparencies.

And going last in the line of speeches today also made me sort of kind of yeah really nervous.

Isn’t it funny after you get done with a speech, everything seems about 10 times funnier? Is it because you are so stressed out about the speech that now all of the little things seem utterly hysterical even when they are not?

That’s kind of how I felt after I finished with my speech. I stayed afterwards to help my teacher pack up the computer; she seemed really impressed with my speech and was very happy with the way my website worked out.

Extra credit, maybe?? ;-)

Naw, but as you can tell this day is going GREAT so far!! :-)

Then, I went to my ITK 168 class, and instead of getting a 4 out of 10 on my quiz, I got a 9 out of 10!! YAY!! :-)

I was so happy I stripped naked and ran through the Quad, yelling at the top of my lungs.

Just kidding!! :-)

Either way, now I’m back at my dorm, just finished eating soup and a bagel for lunch.

Right now it’s snowing, in a nice and peaceful sort of way. It is almost March, shouldn’t the snow have stopped by now?? :-(

Ah well…Hope everyone’s weekend went well! :-)

Well, the ending to this week could not have been more plainer than I could have asked for. As if responding to the lessening number of E-Mail’s to my Boredom on a Stick blog could be as exciting as anything…that’s about how my day has been.

Speaking of Boredom on a Stick, I think I’ve had a lot of people just stop reading my blog because I don’t put in the effort to advertise anymore whatsoever, and also because I seen a recent decrease in the number of E-Mails I’ve received for comments about that blog. At first it used to be between 10 and 15 E-Mails per DAY, but now it is like 4 or 5…if even that on a good day/good post.

And on to another day in the boring life of Jillian:

Last night I stayed up until like 12:30AM working on a website for my COM 110 class. I had some fun by going to Old Union and going into their computer labs and creating “Mini Movies” with which I will play on the day I give my speech. Mostly I tried to do them Object Oriented (OO for JAVA ha ha ha!!) so that my classmates will hopefully like them more and won’t watch me looking silly in the front of the class.

This morning I woke up, prepared for the day. I go both of my classes, end at 11AM, and walk over to Fell Hall to test my website in which I had saved to a CD and make sure it worked on the laptop and projector. It did, although the projector wasn’t working properly for the time being, it still worked on the laptop which is what I was going for in the first place.

Right now I don’t want to think about how many times I will be practicing giving my speech this weekend; I’m so tired!!!

Then tomorrow I have to wake up REALLY early to meet Vince at 7AM (Yes, that is 7AM on a SATURDAYYYY) and catch a train to Joliet, and then I will be going to his home ot meet HIS parents!

I’m excited about that!!

Now I just wish I could go to bed. :-)
