Hmmm…I don’t know what it is lately, but I’ve felt the need to draw.

As I told my mother today:

“I feel a strong desire to draw today.”

That is, I said that before we both burst into a fit of giggles.

Either way, in case you are lazy and don’t feel like scrolling down, I shall post the one of Garfield that is just him nice and sketch-y looking. :-)

At least, I think he looks MUCH better in color. :-)

I dunno’, it makes me happy to draw, really. Today I bought my mom four books for a “Happy Fourth of July” or whatever — She still gave me money. Oh, mom — What am I to do with you? I also got the sequel to “The Giver”, which is “Gathering Blue” (By Lois Lowery). Pretty soon you’ll see the picture under the heading “I’m Reading Currently…” over there in the sidebar. ——>>>>

So work has been pretty exciting today. We literally hauled in about 25 computers (Big Ass Monitors along with their 3-year-old CPU’s) into the back room. I didn’t think we could fit that much in there, but Chris, my ‘Student Manager’ showed us the proper way to fit a computer in a ceiling vent.

KIDDING!

Either way, before I bid you all good-night, I leave thee with yet another drawing that I have not yet colored in, but I found it strangely funny while perusing the Internet (like I do everyday at work - ha ha!).

Wow is all I have to say.

I just spent about 2 and 1/2 hours drawing a single Garfield picture. I actually printed it off the Internet. I don’t trace; I feel that is cheating, personally.

What I DO end up doing however, is I print off clipart, and then I draw it by looking at the clipart (no matter how small). The below drawing is one I’m doing for my mother, since she likes cooking so much. :-)

This is just a rough sketch. Normally after this I will go over the lines with a black colored pencil and THEN color him in. :-)

This is one I did a few days ago, finished, if you will. :-)

Does he look okay?

So far I’m not sure that the “Cook Garfield” looks like his counterpart, which can be found on the Internet (Just Google it, maybe?). ;-)

Well the clipart that I printed out is VERY small, so it is hard to see exactly where his face ends. This is where I had to kind of improvise with it a bit.

Anyways, so this is basically what I have been doing lately is drawing. Gives me a break from playing on my PS2 for hours on end. ;-)
