Teenagers

I know I don’t personally have a child, or a teenager, for that matter.

However, I do LIVE with one.

About 4 days ago, I bought my brother Xbox Live. Telling him that he didn’t have to pay me back, that it was my treat, he paid me for it anyways.

Yesterday, I thought, since he had been playing it non-stop since he’s had it (for the past few days, I believe), I thought I would ask him politely if I could play it that night (which would be last night, technically) and he said, “Yes”.

So he started to play it before dinner, and as it ended up, we didn’t eat dinner until late because my mother wasn’t to get home until later that night.

Right after dinner, I sit down and start playing. About an hour and a half later, my brother, after he kept on giving me ‘tips’ (more rather, bossy directions) on how to play Halo 2, decided that he wanted to play.

My mother, not knowing that my brother had promised to give me Xbox Live for the whole night, said that I had to give it to him.

So I did, but I let my mother know that Justin said he would lend his Xbox to me the whole night.

I know it was a trivial thing, but it really upset me, because I remember when he was younger (like in seventh grade) and I didn’t have a PS2, he would always let me use his whenever I wanted to and play all of his games.

Now, only three years later, I buy him the Xbox Live, going out of my way right after work to also pick up his Xbox. I just spent the entire weekend working on his computer, for what? For him to annoy me all the while I was playing Xbox Live, and also breaking his promise by taking his Xbox back?

Maybe I was being selfish, taking his Xbox Live for one whole night, but I thought it looked neat and I thought he wouldn’t mind, I mean, after all I did for him this weekend/last week.

Maybe not.

I hope he snaps out of this stage soon, because I want the loving, nice brother - before he became a teenager - back again.

The Things I Do

So I just spent about 2 days fixing up my brothers’ computer and my own computer…Whoo! :-)

You want to know what I did?

Firstly, a few days ago I received my Lite-On DVD Burner in the mail, where I promptly put it into my computer. :-)

Ohhhh so pretty — And that’s how it looks too! So many capabilities, I’m waiting like an eager little badger to test out it’s er…capabilities. :-)

After that, my brother got in his Xbox voucher, in which I promptly went to Best Buy and bought him a new one along, with Xbox Live 3-month starter kit — Aren’t I nice?

Of course, as soon as I brought it back — Let’s just say I haven’t seen my brother since. ;-) It is pretty cool to watch him beat-down people via Halo 2. I like the talking-through-the-microphone part. And, since I’m a girl (Xbox Live is generally played by raging-hormone boys), I always get attention whenever I utter a word through the microphone. ;-)

So you can obviously tell I’ve been busy the past few days. :-)

Also, with my DVD burner I got some Legacy DVD-R’s to try out. Not sure if I’ll have any coasters or not, but we’ll see how my new DVD burner does. :-)

Finally, as you can tell I’m back on the Internet!! WHOOO!!! I’m so excited I installed everything that I needed to download from the Internet in about 3 seconds. I’m so happy now. :-)

Yesterday I read Kristin’s blog, only to find out that she was inviting about half the country to Steak-n-Shake (okay, so maybe everyone that reads blogs in OUR town) to eat lunch. So, I went there yesterday morning (around 11AM) — it was great! I actually ate Steak-n-Shake’s breakfast (something I have never done but only once before) and it seemed even better than the last time I ate there! :-)

Speaking of Internet, I bought another router for $17.00 from NewEgg.com! AMAZING!!! :-)

Especially when Best Buy wanted $60.00 for it. Grrrrr…

Yay for routers. :-)

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this picture-filled entry as much as I did creating it. :-)

Also, all of these pictures came from NewEgg.com, as well as all of the products (well, most of them, except for Xbox live in which I bought that from Best Buy — Rawr.

Either way, I hope everyone’s weekend was an eventful as mine was! :-)
