Oh I crack myself up.
As you can probably venture a guess, my last few posts (actually, all posts this week practically) have been with pictures.
So I can safely say that this post will be “picture-free”. Yay! :-)
But which do you like?
Pictures, or not?
I could post wild tales that I make up, but for me real life is just as entertaining. Oh good times.
This weekend I plan on making a trip to Wal-Mart - I need so many things I will probably use my paycheck. ;-) Just kidding, but I will probably bring my bookbag I need so much stuff.
Okay, maybe I need to explain myself - College students bring their bookbags to Wal-Mart because we have to ride the bus to get there (it’s free anyways, so why not?). Not to STEAL from Wal-Mart (You know, sticking stuff in the bookbag, der.) but to put the “extra stuff” so that you aren’t carrying 4 bags in each hand. ;-)
Anyways, and also tomorrow (Friday) I have to attend a concert for my Music 152 class. Good times - I think we have to write a review but I’m kind of confused about it because he said to “not take notes - just enjoy it”.
I guess he will know if we went or not by our ticket stub - we have to seal it in an envelope and then drop it in one of the ‘bins’ (at the beginning of each class we have to get a ScanTron sheet, that is what the entire grade is based off of).
If one doesn’t get there on time (to Music 152), then you are out the 10 points. They stop handing out the ScanTron sheets at EXACTLY the time that class starts (9:35AM). Trust me, I found out the hard way. But it’s okay, because he gives you a “free 10-points” for everyone in case you DID get there late one day or whatever.
I just went into work that day and put in a few extra hours. I love money. :-)
And I have also been (kind of) working with my group members on a project (PowerPoint) that we have due next week. It has to be about topics the instructor assigns us, and ours ended up being “Motherboards, Buses and Ports”. Good times. So yeah we are like “Oh I’m doing USB, you?” Sort of thing. I can talk off the top of my head about USB ports for 10 minutes, can you? (Each person in the group has to talk for 10 minutes, making the total time for our group 30 minutes, der.)
Wow what a normal and boring entry. See what happens when I don’t use pictures? ;-)
I got all of my MQM 100 homework done (and I even started actually DOING my Program 5 a lot more), and I figured “What the hell I have a little extra time, may as well post in my Blog”. I swear I’m not addicted. ;-)
Maybe — Addicted to reading blogs as well. So fun.
Oh yes and also today I went to my academic advisor, so I now am supposed to technically know which classes to take! Yay! If only it had gone that smoothly.
It was actually kind of disappointing because he was like “Okay you need to take this this this this and this. Any questions?”
I was like “Errm yeah can you explain that last one?”
Yeah it was kind of confusing, and I barely got in my questions before he was like “NEXT!!”. They got rid of all the other “departmental advisors” for undergrads for the College of Information Technology, so unfortunately he is the only one for like 500 students - ISU isn’t very nice…
He’s a nice person, he just seems a little burnt out from dealing with students because of registration. Oh well, Jim Dirks will continue to write us e-mails whether we want him to or not. No seriously - out of all the e-mails I receive from “ISU Employees” or Faculty (professors, etc.) - I swear is about 80 percent of it.
At ISU, you are only a number. Most of the time it is good, but it also means I have to do and find out everything for yourself. Oh well - After a year, I’m used to it. Although I’m still learning stuff about this school daily (especially from Teresa and Pete and Shannon, people who are graduating this year) - man they know a lot.
So did Derek, for that matter.
Well I think it’s about time for bed, so I will talk to you all later!
Have a good night everyone!
