"Thanksgiving"

So yeah I was crazy enough to go out on Black Friday this year and survived, people! I SURVIVED! WHOO!! Okay enough of that. ;-)

Either way - it is true. This year I went out with my brother again and we went all OVER Bloomington-Normal. It was so crazy!! Also, since Shai didn’t come up for Thanksgiving - my mother moved our “Thanksgiving Day” to yesterday, Saturday! It was a lot of fun though.

On Friday my brother went to Bloomington, and then my mother came up and we met her at Target - it was so fun! The whole waiting-in-45-minute-lines was not so cool, but it was a fun experience overall. I also got a lot of good discounts and really great prices on other things as well!

Yesterday, I ordered a laptop - YOU HEARD ME!!

I am going to get a Dell Inspiron laptop - Dell was having a HUGEEEE ‘Black-Friday-And-Saturday’ Sale, I got a 500 dollar off coupon! It is going to be really cool!! Of course, I am going to be paying for half of it (or some of it, or more than half, I don’t know yet ha ha), but for now it is charged on my parents’ “Preferred Dell Account” - Whoo hoo!

I was so excited!

Yesterday I also remade my pies - which turned out better than the first ones!! Oh wait, you don’t know about that fiasco do you?!

On Thanksgiving, since I knew we wouldn’t be celebrating it that day, I figured what the heck, and I decided to bake 2 Pumpkin Pies, right? Well, I made them both up - and both of them looked REALLY good. I set them both on the stove (We have an eletric stove) and turned off the oven and was waiting for them to cool. Well, my brother decided to make hot chocolate, right? He put the teapot on the back burner (away from my pies) and turned it on and walked away.

Not TEN MINUTES later, you hear this “CRAAACKKKK — CRASH!!!”

I quickly run out into the kitchen, which is now COVERED in glass. I look over to the oven - and my pie looked a little deformed, when I saw the glass groves in the other, not-so-broken pie, I realized what happened.

My brother turned on the wrong burner and blew up my pie! Of course since it was in a nice glass tin - glass was EVERYWHERE. Because Glass and Heat do NOT mix. My brother walked ON TOP OF THE GLASS ON THE FLOOR to turn off the burner, because my pie was now FRYING on the burner, casting smoke everywhere.

About 2 hours later, my dad, my brother and I got everything (the glass and pie, mainly) picked up. It took me about 15 minutes to get a piece of glass out of my brothers’ foot, because his decision to walk across the glass-covered floor barefoot was NOT a good idea. :-)

And today I am back here! Whoo! Tomorrow it is back to class - I’m kind of sad because I had fun at my house - I played Halo 2 a lot, and I helped my mother out a lot as well. It was fun, but it is also good to be back. I have already unpacked, and now Ray is in my room - I am going to help him with his program and then we are going to go down to Kevin’s room and bother him probably until late into the night. :-)

So that’s a quick run-down of the rest of my week (which I did not blog about) - hope everyone else’s went good! :-)

For Little Kids

This week has been pretty sweet so far. It’s been ridiculously easy at work - especially when it comes to doing things. Not to say I haven’t been doing things at work - I mean today let alone we switched out two computers (complete with CPU’s, monitors, keyboards and mice) at the John Green building for 150s, like Rod was wanting.

But hey, it is the day before Thanksgiving, and I have off the next two days (and then the weekend) - did you really expect me to work a LOT?! ;-)

Anyways, so yeah this week has been going by pretty quickly - I can’t believe I’ve been at home for 4 days! Dang!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and although we won’t be celebrating it tomorrow, I think I am still going to ‘bake’ something - as in a Pumpkin Pie of the sorts, or something. :-) I think it would be a Thanksgiving to waste if I didn’t BAKE something.

I’m kind of sad that my sister, Shai, isn’t coming into town. But that’s life, I think…

Oh and I saw Allison’s dad at the gas station I bought my hot chocolate at - He said to give Allison a call. I haven’t talked to her in awhile, so maybe I will!

And I just finished watching my newest favorite show, Lost - Another great show finished until next week! And I can’t wait!

Now I’m just watching my brother play Halo 2 in Team Sniper mode - fun game! I just got finished playing myself.

Speaking of Halo, I stayed up WAYYY to late last night playing that stupid game. Also, I think tomorrow I will start on my homework. I feel kinda’ bad because I haven’t started doing it yet, but then again technically nothing is due next week and I am on Thanksgiving Break you know. ;-)

Hope everyone’s week is going well, and let’s get this Hump-Day over with!

Oh yes, and on a side-note: The title for this entry came to be because I went and saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire over this past weekend with my little brother. it was very exciting as I saw it the DAY it came out - but there were so many KIDS in the threatre. It was ridiculous!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Soon!)
