When Does the Shopping End?

Which would’ve been yesterday, but I thought I would post about it today. :-)

My brother and I went with mother yesterday to go down to Decatur (You heard me, NOT BLOOMINGTON!) to the mall there. We actually had a REALLY nice time at their mall, it is much nicer than the one in Bloomington. Everything is so spacey in that mall and nicely spread out - it looks really nice!

Okay enough about the mall - so we went through JcPenny the first time since we parked in front of JcPenny, and we went through the mall. I got a nice long-sleeved shirt in Old Navy for 7 bucks! I was really happy about that. They were having 30 percent off their 50 percent off sale!

Then we went to Kohl’s, because on Monday although Justin and I went there looking for the jeans I like (the wide-waist So… jeans) - they were out and it looked like a hurricane went through there rack. But in Decatur, everything was still nice and neat in the jean section and they were still on sale! So of course I picked up one that were like the ones I own now, but I found another wide-waist color I liked in the same brand! (Actual Name-Brand Name: “So…”) So, I got them!

Then we went back to JcPenny where I shamelessly had to pick up some underwear, and while I was looking through them I set down my bag to Old Navy (my brother had taken out my bag to Kohl’s knowing what my mother and I would be looking at in JcPenny). I happily checked out and we were out the door.

Of course, when I got home I realized that I still did not have the bag to Old Navy, so I quickly called up JcPenny and they said that they had it. I asked if they could ship it to me, where the lady kindly told me that it would cost twice as much as the shirt to ship it to me. Wow, that’s nice of them.

So I told them I would be down to pick it up “later”. I will probably go back down there sometime this weekend (maybe tomorrow?) to pick it up, if it is still there. If not I’ll just get another one ha ha - I mean 7 bucks - who can’t go wrong? I know it will cost me just as much to actually drive down there and pick it up, but oh well!

I need to stop shopping now. :-)

Day After Christmas Shopping

So yesterday I went over to Allison’s house to drop off a “belated” Christmas card, only to find out she wasn’t home. Of course, she only lives a few blocks away, so it didn’t take very long to get there but still…

I’ll probably call her again today to see if she is home before going over there to surprise her. ;-)

I called my other friend (who lives MUCH farther away than Allison does) but she wasn’t home either! (I wanted to give her a card to, her name is Tracy)

And I really wanted to just DRIVE somewhere, so I went home, and my brother and I decided to go and check out the after-Christmas sales up in Bloomington. We went to Eastland Mall first, where there was a TON of people, even though it was going on 6PM at night! Kohl’s, apparently, was having a HUGE sale. Although when we went in there, most of the stuff was sold out, including the size of my jeans. (50% off from 30 bucks!) I was really happy when I saw that, but then became really sad when they didn’t have my size! :-(

So instead I got my mother some vanilla-scented candles and a few mugs for both of my parents. (All in all it cost me 10 bucks at that store - whoo hoo!)

Then we went to Bergner’s because mother is into this Pfaltzgraff dinnerware (The Winterberry Collection) so I bought her some votive candles to go with her set that are the Winterberry kind. They are very nice! Marked down from 40 bucks to 16, that was a heck of a deal as well!

Then we went to go and see King Kong. A very interesting movie, but it did NOT need to be 3 hours long! It was kind of weird in a lot of parts, but I really liked the action parts because it contained Adrian Broody running around ha ha - he is kind of cute, just too big of a nose. :-)

Jack Black’s part was REALLY weird in that movie, and they could have had half of the romantic scenes out and some of the “slower parts” out it probably would have made it a much smoother movie. I think Peter Jackson just tried to hard personally…

Now mother is home (??) from work because apparently there is more than enough people to be there for a few hours. She is “taking a break for a few hours” by coming home and…doing laundry?? Whatever works ha ha! :-)
