While No One Is Looking…

Although my birthday was yesterday - I thought I would post this little thing that made me laugh so hard a few days ago. Very funny.

And if my roommate ever did this, I would probably record him - or her - as well!

Oh what people will do when no one is looking. More importantly, what COLLEGE STUDENTS will do when then think no one is looking. Definately good times.

As of late I have been wondering what it would be like to own an iPod. I’m hoping that soon enough I will know what it is like. :-)

For my birthday I mainly asked for money, and that is mainly what I got, along with a few gift cards which I was not expecting, and a few extra bucks which I was not expecting either. :-) All together though my birthday went very well.

Let’s just say I received enough money for my birthday to buy myself an iPod. Dear lord this purchase is extremely large - I might just die of fright of putting that amount on my credit card before I even get the little iPod in my hands.

Oh the humanity!

Okay as you can CLEARLY see I am extremely bored. Today in my ITK 261 class (Systems Development) I studied hardcore for a quiz I have in that class, but then all of my classmates started asking our instructor questions outside of the classroom - something about a diagram or something.

Oops - I totally didn’t do my homework. How could I have known? She cancelled that stupid class on Tuesday, and then asked us if we all remembered that there would be a quiz. She moved the quiz, but not the homework date?!

After realizing that half of the class didn’t realize that we had homework due, she said that the rest of us could turn it in next Tuesday if we wanted.

Good thing!

Now I think I’m going to go and make sure it is marked clearly on my calendar: “ITK 261 HOMEWORK DUE TODAY!!” next Tuesday. :-)

Little Nano

So yesterday was nothing short of a horror. As compared to today, it was mild, but that’s another story…

Yesterday I go into Marc and Kevin’s room after my class. I have both my red coat, zipped up, and my bookbag still on. It’s 4:45PM - I just got back from work. I walk in and ask them how their Spring Breaks were. I notice that Marc has an iPod Nano - very nice. I pick it up and start playing with it.

I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t skipping songs - I just kept on turning the music up and down instead. After about 5 minutes I turn it off and place it on top of a stack of books on Marc’s desk, where he had it.

After I go to my 6PM class, I get back early and then go with Allison and Larissa and some other people to Parrots Echo, a retaurant downstairs. In the middle of our appetizers, Allison points behind my back, towards the reception area. I turn around, and Marc is pointing at me and asks the reception ladies something.

About 30 seconds later, Marc comes running up to me.

“Jillian, where’s my Nano?” He gasps. I think he might have run here.
“Wait, what?!” I exclaim, turning to look at him.
“Where’d you put it when you set it down?” He asks again. I have to think for a minute - I feel as if I have been put on the spot.

“I…put it on your desk, next to your books!” I exclaim. “Why?”

“Because I can’t find it,” Marc says, and runs away.

After dinner I go up to my room, put down my coat and bookbag, and go and see Kevin and Marc again. Marc is outside of his room, pacing up and down and talking on his cellphone.

“Oh God Marc please tell me you found it,” I say, and without an answer I go into his room.

“No I didn’t find it,” He says two seconds later, coming into his room and looking hopefully towards his desk.

As it ends up I was the last person to see/touch the stupid Nano before it was “gone”. I checked my entire jacket, in case I put it in my pocket for SOME weird reason…negative. I turned my entire bookbag inside-out. Nothing.

I felt really bad for Marc - so I helped him practically tear apart his room looking for it. We turned out all of his sheets, took apart his bed, pulled out his desk, emptied out his drawers. Everything that could have been done, was done.

He thanks me in the end, but he never found that silly little Nano. I even told him while I was looking at it that I was looking at getting a video iPod, probably the 30GB one. Nothing like a Nano. Although they do look cool - I just kept on rambling this to Marc. He said of course he didn’t think I had stolen it. Whew.

On a lighter note: My Birthday is tomorrow. :-)
