Preparing for Battle

Remember when I said a few days ago that I was excited about going to Six Flags? Well I definately am, but I’m also a little worried now I guess.

I just hope everything works out really.

My mother brought to my attention the other day on this whole trip. I mean I know Lauren - she is shy, like Justin. My parents have never met either of these friends, and I’m just whisking away their son with them. I’m sure my parents are apprehensive, too.

I just hope everything works out in the end.

I’m not saying he’s not going to get along with them - but since they have never met him - I’m just wondering how things are going to play out. My mother said “Well how would you feel if you went with Justin and two of his friends to Six Flags?”

I admit I would feel a little weird being around them - but I think my friends are mature enough to not leave Justin ‘out of the loop’ so to speak on this trip - it’s not like we’re in grade school anymore…

Long Weekend

Wow that last post was probably the most emo-ridden post I’ve ever written. ;-)

Good times!

So this weekend is going to be a LONGGG weekend - and by long I mean I have off on Monday! Horrah!

I also took off work Wednesday-Friday of next week because next Wednesday I am going with my brother, Lauren, Tamara, and…myself…and we are taking a trip to Six Flags! I think it’s going to be so much fun!

Of course, I will be the one driving the most. That’s not the problem - it is just that I hope that I will be awake enough to drive that early in the morning - ha ha!

Now you are probably going to be wondering “Why didn’t Jillian take off Tuesday when she has off Monday, and Wednesday through Friday off?”

Well, my friends I shall answer - it is because on Tuesday I can 1. Get money for working and 2. that way I can pick up my friends. I am going to pick up Lauren and Tamara (they both live up in Bloomington) so that they can spend the night on Tuesday night.

We are going to do that because they live north of Lincoln, while Six Flags is more or less south of Lincoln, so therefore to save myself some driving time they are just going to spend the night here in Lincoln on Tuesday and then we will all wake up early on Wednesday and leave for Six Flags! Woo hoo!

I bought the tickets online, and I thought that it was really pointless that they charged me 3 bucks to “print-n-go”. Basically to have them laid out in a nice format, but they charged me a ’shipping’ fee of 3 bucks to what?! To use my own printing resources to print them off? To pay for a package they never sent??

Whatever!!

Oh well, now I’m just excited about going I guess - and since Monday is Memorial Day we are probably going to have a barbeque of sorts at our house.

Horrah for long weekends!
