Getting Around…
Wholly crap has it been awhile! What, two months? This is probably the MOST amount of time I have spent away from my Blog. So many entries have gone un-read by yours truly, and for that I am sad.
My life this summer has been: Working.
A lot.
I’ve been learning so much in my work though - I feel I am really getting my internship hours-worth by being there. Although some days I have a headache from the amount of work/things I learn that day, I think it is worth it.
This weekend has been one of rest, mainly. Yesterday I did my entire family’s sheets and made everyone’s bed. It’s a miracle I did that! ;-)
Last night my friend, Allison, called me to invite me over to her house. Her friend Kasey and Kasey’s boyfriend Jason came over (Jason is 21) and they brought some booze-like items with them. Good times were had by all. We played Texas Hold ‘Em and watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail until about 2AM when I left around the same time Kasey and Jason left.
This summer I haven’t really seen much of my old friends from high school - despite the fact that half of them are still ‘looking’ for work for this summer.
However, this summer is almost over! I actually move back into ISU on August 16, and I think I’m going to ask for a bit of time off before then just to chill out and maybe take a day-trip up to Chicago or something.
Oh yes and I just got addicted to this show called “24″, I’m sure most of you who read this have heard of it. Anywaysss…My mother has been burning the DVD’s she rents on my computer so that she can watch them - I just watch them on my laptop. I’m already up to Season 3! Don’t let it end! ;-)
So many things have happened how can I sum them all up in one post? Every time I go to end this post I think of something else that is semi-important to tack on at the end!
Okay one more thing - this summer my brother got his first job! It’s a miracle! ;-) My mother got it for him (I think she got my first job as well come to think of it…), and he is working at the fair (Setting up tents, etc.). The fair is supposed to start next week, and he actually has work today to make sure everything is ready for the public. My brother comes home almost every day covered in dust, etc. from putting up tents and doing what he calls is “Cleaning”.
And another bit of information: Despite the fact that I am still working in the same place, I am actually doing my internship this summer at my work (in case you didn’t figure that one out - ha ha). Since the summer is almost over, I received an e-mail from Jim (the head advisor for the technology department) telling me to make an appointment with Barbara Beccue (My instructor for ITK 261, ahhh the memories…).
Since she does not really respond to e-mails all that well, I will probably end up calling her office and leaving her a message to see what time is best for her.
Ah the joys - oh yeah and pretty soon Lauren and I will be looking at apartments for next summer!
Wow it’s been awhile - I need to update more! Time to go and read blogs!
