So today I signed up for Xbox Live, which is basically like playing with a bunch of teenagers online with Xbox. The game I am playing with is pretty fun, but since I have not beaten it yet it’s interesting to play the MultiTeam Battle with very little experience…

That and I’m probably the ONLY girl on that Xbox live thing anyways…

…One out of 20 girls in the Computer department here at ISU….One of of 5 girls on Xbox Live - why do I always choose the ‘wrong’ things? ;-)

Also today, my brother and I went up to my apartment to put away my new Christmas gifts. You never realize how small of a space you have in the kitchen until you try to cram it full of dishes, pots, pans, and a CROCKPOT!

Ah, well.

It was fun overall - I got my 19-inch LCD TV hooked up - the sound is a little weird to listen to and may take some getting used to - but overall it looks MUCH better than my regular TV.

Also I hooked up my new DVD player - Ahhh that is my pride and joy. Of course, the first thing I tested was the DIVX playback - stuff I get from Kevin’s computer I can just burn to a DVD and play right from my DVD player. Meaning: Instead of having 1 movie to a DVD - I can have 3 or 4 movies on one DVD and my DVD Player will let me select which one I wish to play.

God I’m a nerd.

After playing Xbox Live for 3 hours - I think I need to go quietly look up some JavaScript examples before my brain explodes from the non-educational things I have been doing…

We actually celebrated Christmas yesterday because my mother has work all day today - however…

It was really fun - I got quite a few things for my apartment and quite a few ‘fun things’ as a side as well. All in all I think it was a good haul this year. ;-)

The main thing I received this year which is REALLY cool is a new TV - 19 inch LCD flat-panel TV. Woo! :-) Also I got a bunch of movies and a new DVD player which plays DIVX-encoded movies, meaning I can play stuff that I burn to a DVD. :-)

And then I also received some boring stuff like dishes for my apartment, a set of pots and pans, a crockpot (my mother actually thinks I’m going to start cooking with all of this stuff - ha ha!) and a toaster oven!

Oh yeah, and my brother gave me his old Xbox and a bunch of his old games. :-)

Since the Xbox is the only thing that does not require me to set up very much or move very much around - guess what was the first thing I hooked up? ;-)
