I’ll Take It

Filed under Grades, Personal, Thinking //

Right now, I’m back at home - and slightly bored. I guess going from “SCHOOL” then “WORK” then “SCHOOL” then “HOMEWORK ALL NIGHT” - it was pretty crazy over the semester.

Now things have just gone to a Dead Stop.

Ah well - this just means that I need to find something to do other than playing online games all night. ;-)

So, my final grades finally came in, and I received:

C - Accounting 131…who saw that one coming? (ME!!!)

B - Sociology 112 - Class was a waste of my time - didn’t even try and I received a B…

B - ITK 378 - Class was dumb as hell - only tried on the group project so that Craig (former coworker…) wouldn’t think I’m a complete idiot (We received an A on the group project)

B - ITK 272 - COBOL class - Considering I pulled a B on all of the tests and turned in EVERY program late, I think this is out of sheer luck…

A - Literary Studies 121 - Has NOTHING to do with my major - took it because it was a Gen Ed. B on the first test and that means she liked my 11-page paper on Child as Revolution Subject…a lot. ;-)

So the totals are: 3 B’s, 1 A and 1 C - Averages out to a 3.0 - Not bad. :-)

My mother of course kept saying what a good job I did - ahhh Parents. I could probably get strait C’s and my mother would still be like “Well Jillian, as long as you tried your best…”

She’s always been that way though…

Anyways - this is the part where I say that I’ll do better next semester, try to get better grades yadda yadda…

Oh yeah, and maybe if I did ANY of my homework in Accounting, I would probably get an A - I’m terrible, you can say it…

Maybe my New Years Resolution should be to get better grades and to stop being so damn lazy

You Can’t Do This To a Computer Nerd!!

Filed under Apartment Life, Bluggin, Moving, Randomness //

A Message from your Apartment Manager:
Our system noticed an unusual increase in your computers Internet traffic. It is sending out traffic as fast as our Internet connection allows. So as to not inconvenience other users on our network we have slowed your upload for you. Your connection will stay this way until the system releases you. Which is based on duration of transfer and rate. Thank you.

Wow, Thank You, Young America for providing me with QUALITY service!

I think the “Unusual Increase in Internet Traffic” was me trying to transfer an ENTIRE MOVIE (Pirates of Silicon Valley, an obvious choice for a computer-nerd) at top-notch speed so that I could watch it during lunch.

Unfortunately, the file was apparently too large for the pathetic Internet connection I obviously receive here.

Oh and in case you are wondering, I was trying to transfer about 700MB over the network.

Which is about the same space and size as a CD (About 20 songs to put it into perspective)

So thank you, Young America, for giving me the quality Internet connection speed I deserve. [Cough]

Yours Always,

Jillian
