iZach’s iBirthday
So yesterday was Zach’s birthday. At first, he really, REALLY wanted to go downtown to the bars in downtown Chicago, and myself, Helen and Eric were all ready to go. But then, Saturday came.
And…we still didn’t figure out how we were getting back without paying 50 bucks for a one-way trip in a cab.
Instead, after laying around all day and trying to ignore the problem about the whole downtown Chicago thing, we instead just decided to go to Cubby Bear, which is a local sports bar right up the street that all the interns go to every Thursday.
It was, in a word, really fun. I really, really wish that Tyler was 21 so that he could have come with us, but instead he had to go back to the apartments and I promised to buy him some liqueur if he drove us to and from the bar.
Tyler agreed, and on the way back to the apartments we stopped at a convenience store and I vividly remember telling the cashier that it’s illegal to drink and drive, especially after being at a bar. I think the cashier laughed at me but he still agreed…
TO PICTURES -
There are some people who read this blog who wanted to see what my roommate, Helen looks like. I shall now refer to Helen as HELEN! whenever I show a picture of her because I have never posted a picture of her before now, and this moment should be put into HISTORY books. Either way, this is Zach and HELEN!, right after we played pool and before we started drinking more.
And this is HELEN! and myself, right after I pulled Zach out of the seat and said something to the effect of “HELEN I WANNA PITTURE WIFFU RIGHT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW”
After a little bit of drinking, HELEN! made some really funny faces, and unfortunately she will be sought after for the police because of some of these pictures, this is one that is safe to put up on the internets.
This is actually my favorite picture. For one, after I took it I said something like: “Yay all three of us are in the same picture fully for once!” For second, it is obviously not centered, and if I would have moved the camera an INCH to the left, I could have got HELEN! in the picture as well.
So, Happy 21st Birthday Zach! I know that I certainly had fun - the night ended when we all passed out over at Tyler’s apartment when he came to pick us up later that night.
We asked Tyler what he did while we were away, and if he broke out his porn collection and was blasting it. He said he did indeed blast porn into the hallway, and then finished it off by watching “The Devil Wears Prada” afterwards.
It was a very entertaining night to say the least - Happy Birthday Zach!
