Things I’ve Learned the First Week Back

Filed under Apartment Life, Classroom Duty, Randomness //

1. Not only can you fry and egg in my car these past few days, but you can also boil water in order to make macaroni and cheese and bake a cookies or a pizza.

2. My classes are easy and I have too much time on my hands.

3. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk to campus from my apartment - one way. I can cut it down to 10 minutes if I walk fast and take a few shortcuts, including cutting through a fraternity’s backyard and jumping over their fence.

4. I have the whole walking-to-campus journey down to a science - I know exactly which path to take to get me the most downhill time, but unfortunately that path is longer, and I know which path will have the most shade during the daytime. I also know that if I take the shortcut in order to get to class in 10 minutes, that path is mostly uphill.

5. The air conditioning in the apartment SUCKS, so I’ve taken the liberty of fixing it by using a pair of pliers, a blow-torch and a baseball bat.

6. Unpacking in a hot bedroom sucks, as does sleeping in a hot bedroom.

7. I WISH IT WAS WINTER!

Long Story Short

Filed under Apartment Life, Classroom Duty, Daily //

Oh, this semester is going to be fun. My Financial, Insurance and Law instructor says “Long story short…” about 1,000 times per hour of lecture.

Luckily I only have him for 3 hours, ONE day a week (Tuesday night), otherwise I fear my head would explode from having him say “long story short” every other second.

Anywho, Long story short: My peanut butter and jelly is now frozen solid from being in the freezer for so long and I didn’t make anything for dinner.
