Knowing is Better
So, a summary of my past week and a half, yes? I believe that at least this is appropriate. First of all I’m sorry for my terrible posting; even though my new years resolution was to post more and get more people to read my blog; so far I have just been partially successful at one aspect of those.
Well, let me start here with a conversation that happened between myself and my textbook several times:
Me: I can’t study you anymore I think my head is going to explode.
Textbook: You will FAIL the test if you don’t reeeeeaaaaaddddddddd meeeeeeeeeeee!
Me: But it’s my last semester at ISU and I don’t wannaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Textbook: Don’t you love me?
Me: Is that rhetorical?
Textbook: I provide you knowledgeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Me: Does the knowledge have the option to come by osmosis?
So, the end. That about wraps up my past two weeks. I had a Marketing test last week that made me feel like “OH MY GOD I LOVE MARKETING!”
Only…the opposite… Oh and the same about my Finance class test. Both tests I ended up with a high “C” on them. Actually, let me let you in on a little secret: Normally I fail the first test of every class, and then get an A on all of the other tests. Thus, leaving me with a “B” out of the class. This time I received a “C” on the first test in two classes.
Not only that, a HIGH ‘C’ -
CALL THE PRESS! TELL YOUR NEIGHBOR! SEND OUT A BULLETIN! MAKE COOKIES! I made up that last one. So I guess that means that I might end up with all A’s and B’s on my transcript for a single semester for the second time in my college career.
That’s actually really, really sad.
The last thing I want to talk about is a movie I made. It is in remembrance of four students who died pretty much simultaneously in the same car crash on February 16, 2008. No, I honestly didn’t really know the students that well; the only one I knew was Chris through a few classes in high school. I sent it to a blog that is up on the web for those four students and he posted a link to it immediately (see the blog post here). Since then there have been about 600 hits to it. I figured if NIU students have a bunch of remembrance videos all over the internet then why shouldn’t these four students?
