So yesterday was Lauren’s birthday - it was actually very nice. I met Joanette and Lauren at Atkin-Colby at around 11:30AM (Joanette called me to tell me that she is going to be late so we just decided at a later time - the original time was 11AM).

Anyways after we all got together, we went over to Potbellies, which was very good - I had roast beef, my new sandwich of choice, which was very good I have to say!

On Friday, Ray and I went to Wal-Mart and we walked to Best Buy. I ended up buying the first season of Dead Zone, which with I came home and spent most of the day watching.

Well, as it ends up I finished the entire first season this morning when I woke up. Let’s just say that the “Season Finale” of that season sucked massively, but all in all it was a very good season. I personally think they could have had the second-to-last episode as the season finale (I think it was entitled “Shaman”), but oh well.

Today I have just felt tired all day - no reason whatsoever why.

I did do some notecards for my ITK 272 class in which I have a test on this Thursday, so that was excitement.

Oh yeah, I also started reading this book called “Catcher in the Rye” for my literary studies class. It’s pretty good, but I think I remember reading it already because sometimes I get the feeling that I’ve already read certain parts or something, you know?

Anyways - tonight Ray and I are going to do accounting and then some more reading of “Catcher in the Rye” most likely after we finish. This Thursday Ray and I are going to go apartment hunting since I took the afternoon off of work, and hopefully we can find something that is “acceptable” on both of our terms.

Also this Friday I have a really pointless in-class presentation I still have to prepare for in my American Family class. I have a bad urge to skip it all of the time, but since I have work right before and right after that class, it would be even more pointless to skip the class than to go to it.

Oh yeah, and I got a 25 out of 25 on my ‘first’ Cobol program. I don’t really want to call it the first one since we didn’t really do anything, Dr. Wallace (The best instructor, EVER) just showed us how to do it and we basically copied his code and work, and wah-lah, he made us turn in the ‘first program’. Oh well, I’ll take an A+ any day. ;-)

Oh and for a side note: I just saw “Final Four” come on. I swear I have seen about 20 movies today, only not necessarily watching them all and being engaged because during most of them I was doing homework.

Okay so I watched 4 episodes of Dead Zone which I was practically on top of my TV watching I was so engaged, but then I saw Rush Hour, Men in Black, Meet the Fockers, The Interpreter, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Inspector Gadget, and Anaconda.

Now I know that some of these overlapped today and I KNOW I did not watch the entire Wallace and Gromit because it was annoying the heck out of me to see a clay thing being spattered against a wall or a windshield or something every five seconds, and Inspector Gadget was just too boring to watch. But I remember watching Men in Black, Rush Hour, and most of The Interpreter and Anaconda.

Wayyy to many movies and about 4 hours of Dead Zone, I know, I know…

Okay, time for more homework!

The Day is Mine

You ever have one of those days where everything seems to be in it’s place? I feel like today is that day. Normally I read my horoscope just for fun every once in awhile, and here is mine for today:

A recent conflict may be resolved today. It’s a wonderful day for intelligent discussions and the sharing of ideas. You may recognize beauty in life that you’d previously ignored, and harmony reigns supreme. All seems right in your world.

Basically, all of those things were true for today.

Ray and I were talking about apartments again today, and I have decided to room with him. Not that I do not want to room with Tamara, John and Allison, but I have not really spoken with Allison since last Friday, and nor she with me. I think she is busy hanging out with John, school, and whatnot…but that is okay.

Ray has been asking me if I want to room with him because we are both ‘looking’ for roommates for next year. Since we have been talking about it for some time now, I decided to take him up on his offer. So it wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment type of thing, you know?

So, Ray and I are going to go apartment hunting next Thursday, where I took the afternoon off to do so (and prepare for tests I have as well in the very near future).

Work was actually very nice today as well - I learned a bit of JavaScript today and looked up and read way to much in order to do a small thing. Shannon ended up helping me in the end, and we finally got it working. Basically, the JavaScript is being used to display a part of a form when one of two radio buttons is checked, and the other part of a form when the other radio button is checked.

Fun.

Tonight I am going to dinner with a few people I met on the floor. Most of this floor are really loud and obnoxious and most of the girls dress like hookers, but Hollie and her friend Amanda are transfer students that transferred in at the beginning of this year, and they are both really nice and friendly (in other words, normal). So that is who I am going to dinner with tonight.

What was really great was last night Ray and I spent most of the night doing Accounting and talking or whatever, and then today in Accounting, she asked us to hand in a homework that we did last night as a 5-point quiz.

It was really great because Ray and I were one of about, oh, 10 people who actually did the homework since it is never ‘mandatory’ (we’re in college, d’oh!) - an easy 5 points! That and some students helped back in the handing out of the first quizzes, and I got 5 out of 5 points. I’m going to get an A in this class even if it kills me! (Which, so far it isn’t thank goodness)

Time to do homework for my database processing class (ITK 378). Ah, the joy.
