The Other Side of the Fence
So, wow. I’m graduated.
I have been describing my graduation as 2 hours of anticipation and antsy feelings followed by 3 seconds of sheer terror as I walked across the stage. Now, I just feel calm. Of course, I won’t be receiving my actual diploma until sometime in July, but I am happy to say that I passed all of my classes.
One of my instructors said that he would post the grades online, and that we each got a number to identify ourselves to the grades. Of course, I forgot my identifying number, and so I had to resort to e-mailing him. Despite the cryptic message of: YOU SUCK BECAUSE YOU LOST THE NUMBER e-mail I received back, he did tell me that I received a 96 out of 96. That is with the curve. Of course, without the curve I got a 96 out of 120 or something, but he curved it so that people could have had extra points.
And, of course that was in my Business Finance course. Business. Finance. It deserves a period after each word because that class is THAT ridiculous. The reason why I received a 96 out of 96 (which, I might point out here, is the highest final grade I’ve ever received), is because I had a 71 percent (the lowest C is a 70 percent), and the last test I received a 45 percent on.
No, I didn’t stutter. A FORTY-FIVE percent. Of course I didn’t study at all, but that is besides the point. Needless to say after I figured out my score I e-mailed him to thank him and his exact response was:
“Why didn’t you get that on the last two tests?”
To which I have not responded with anything.
However, I digress: AS USUAL. In either case: GRADUATING. Yeah. It’s over. It feels good. I just feel like sleeping for the next week and a half, but I’m moving a lot of crap up there come May 15th. Wish me luck!
